Detox Diet-The 3-day Regimen

Our lifestyles of today make it very difficult to avoid things that our bodies consider as foreign. The body however is very remarkable with the way it works to defend itself against foreign invaders. Organs such as the liver, kidneys, lungs and even the skin have to overexert, purge or neutralize the toxins, and it isn’t done easily. Toxins gather in all of our cells in our bodies, causing the release of chemicals or the mutation of the cells into cancer cells or other debilitating diseases and illnesses.

Sadly, we cannot undo the damage that we do to our bodies, but we can change our lifestyles and detoxify to restore proper function and the vitality back to our bodies. Detoxifying our systems, promotes renewed cell growth, gets rid of free radicals and helps to improve our immune systems. This can be accomplished in as little as 3 days! Purging out the evil toxins will have you feeling a whole lot better very quickly.

Not all detoxification programs are perfect for everyone. Some may even require that you get an okay from your primary care physician prior to starting, especially if you have a debilitating disease, anemia, an iron deficiency, malnourished, under your ideal weight or any number of other medical conditions. A 3-day plan is a mild way to detoxify your body.

This particular detox regimen is designed for 3 days only. During the three days you need use these foods daily:

Mornings should start with drinking 8 ounces of water with half a lemon squeezed into it. This stimulates your digestive juices. Meals should consist of whole grains plus three servings of fruits and vegetables. You need to have one of those servings raw.

Besides the above food requirements you will need to drink an infusion at least twice for flushing out the liver and kidneys. The recipe is as follows:

16 oz. fennel, chamomile, or dandelion tea

Pure vegetable juice such as carrot or beetroot

1 clove fresh garlic

20 (approx) black grapes

16 oz. yellow or parsley tea.

Even when you are not detoxifying, it’s important that you drink a least 8 glasses of water a day, along with fresh fruit juices. This will help to keep you hydrated. A half an hour walk is also a vital part of the program. Just before bedtime, drink herbal tea.

By the time the third day has passed, you will feel like a new person with lots of energy, pep and youthfulness. You might want to think about doing the detox a second time. However, before detoxing again, consider changing to a healthier lifestyle.
